Institute was established in 1992 on the Basis of Palanga Department of Institute for Cardiovascular Research of Kaunas Medical Academy. Traditional annual wellness event for medical professionals “CURA TE IPSUM”
Saturday, April 28, 2012, Palanga, Lithuania 

The aim of this event is to encourage physical activity as one of the ways to improve health and to celebrate Medical Professionals Day. We want to pay attention that medical professionals devoting their life to healthier and better society, must also take care of their health (lat. “Cura te ipsum” means Cure yourself).

Participate in this event can everyone who wants to be healthier, independently from his age, gender or occupation. Each participant can choose preferable distance from 1 km to 5 km and a way to overcome the route: running, jogging or going fast step with or without Nordic walking poles.  A lap in the park is 1 km long.

Preliminary programme
:

930-1030  – registration, issuance of participant’s cards;
1000-1050 – training of Nordic walking technique;
1100 – start;
1300 – end of event.  

After event picnic in the park.
